About Us
History
Canyonside Christian School was established in 1991 when the founders had the vision to begin a Christian school where all children are welcome regardless of race, economic level, or academic performance. CCS teaches Biblical truths and Christian principles.
CCS is a non-denominational, evangelical Christian school and is a recognized leader in early childhood and elementary education for the Magic Valley. God has blessed our school with an amazing staff who provide an exceptional education to students in preschool through eighth grade. Located right here in the Magic Valley, CCS offers a top-rated education, and we see exceptional academic and spiritual growth in our students. Our students continually excel on state standardized tests and in other areas both academically and spiritually.
We stand in awe as we consider where our school began and where it is today. For the past 30+ years, God has blessed our school with wonderful families and their children. We continually hear reports about our graduates and the difference that they make in their respective communities. Our influence truly has been far-reaching.
Our enrollment of 120 students consists of families who are passionate about the Lord and who are excited about His amazing love and grace. It is our goal to guide each child towards a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Philosophy of Education
It is the philosophy of Canyonside Christian School that all children can learn if given sufficient time and an appropriate support system. We believe that the task of our school is to provide a learning environment that creates an opportunity for success and enhances the student’s self-esteem. The most essential requirement of our school is that each child will become a successful learner and will grow in their love and faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. We strive to keep opportunities open and the support available so that each child is able to have a meaningful learning and spiritual experience.
Chapel & Music
We celebrate each week in Chapel about God’s love for us. We sing and dance and truly worship how awesome God is and just how much He loves us. Pastor Will from the Jerome Presbyterian Church leads our chapel and Mrs. Ashlee Scott leads our music worship. Every class takes a month to help lead our Chapel. Teachers choose a theme, and with the help of their students, they perform skits, sing songs, recite memory verses or find other create ways to share their message. Our Chapels are full of love and passion and is often a favorite time of the week for CCS students and staff.
