September 16th – 20th, 2019 Newsletter

We had an amazing Chapel today with Pastor Will Ritter leading us once again during the month of September!  This year’s theme is “the Armor of God”, and during September students will be learning about the belt of truth!  Pastor Will shared with us how easy it is to fall into the “devils schemes” when it comes to telling the truth, and how we need to ask for the Lord’s strength and guidance in being truthful and honest each day. The September memory verse (and the school Bible verse for this year) is;  Romans 8:31 –  “If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Don’t forget to keep bringing in your completed Jog- A -Thon forms! Forms should be given to your student’s teacher or dropped off in the school office.  If you’re able to stamp each form before it is turned into the school, we would greatly appreciate it!  If you are not able to provide postage, we will be happy to take care of that for you.   Prize Patrol will be coming around to each classroom on Tuesday of this week to pass out a prize to every student who has brought back their 15 forms and their extra forms as well. Forms are due back to school by Friday, September 27th, but the first class who has turned in 100% of their forms will earn a pizza party!  We have several classes who are close to reaching the “popcorn party” mark, and that means they have turned in 50% of their classroom forms!  We are excited to see who will be the first top 2 classes this year to reach the “pizza party” goal!  Both Preschool and Elementary ends have a chance to win the pizza party!  Student’s who bring back their forms are also able to put their name into a BIG PRIZE drawing.  This drawing takes place on the day of the Jog- A -Thon at the Jerome High School.  Each age group will have a chance to win an amazing prize depending on the donations that have been received.  If you have any questions and/or concerns about donations, or how you can help with the Jog- A -Thon , please feel to email Liz Artho (this year’s fundraising coordinator)  at  Donations that are still needed include; bikes, recreational gift cards, balloons, and any donation of “time” would be greatly appreciated. Bridge Street Coffee will also be selling coffee and specialty drinks the morning of the JOG-A-THON (at JHS) and will generously donate 20% of all CCS sales back to the school.  😊

PTF Candy Sale

PTF will be having their 1st Candy Sale of the year this Wednesday!  They will be selling popcorn balls for $1.00!

MAP Testing

1st – 5th Grades will finish up with MAP testing this week and Student reports will go home with Progress Reports on Thursday, September 26th. All students have been doing an amazing job and striving to test their best! If your child is absent or has been absent for one of their test dates, I will be administering

make-up tests on Thursday of this week. The test results data will be helpful in guiding instruction and establishing literacy groups this school year.

MAP testing will take place this week on the following days;

Monday, September 16th: 2nd ,4th and 5th Grade Math

Tuesday, September 17th: 1st and 3rd grade Math

Thursday, September 19th: Make ups

Tuition Payments

Monthly tuition statements are sent out by the 5th of each month and DUE BY the 10th of each month.  You will also see your student’s “School Supply” billing on the October tuition statement.  Costs for school supplies are slightly higher this year due to ordering replacement supplies for each student. These supplies will be given out the second half of the school year.  If you have any questions about your billing, please contact the school office.
