This year’s READ-A-THON was a HUGE success! CCS students enjoyed each special part of READ-A-THON week….. from the guest readers to the themed snacks, bedtime stories, themed classrooms and school wide lunch on Thursday!! As of today, October 6th, we have raised a little over $13,000 and donations are still coming in! We are so grateful for the outpouring of support for this new fundraiser and for each and every parent who gave of their time to make this event one to remember for our students! We will be posting the names of individuals who donated to CCS students on the main bulletin board in the hallway.
SCHOOL PICTURE DAY IS WEDNESDAY!
All CCS students will be having their individual and class pictures taken this Wednesday, October 7th. We will begin with the K2/K3 class. 😊
Character Parade and Spirit Wear Sale
The CCS Character Parade will take place on Thursday, October 29th! Each CCS student is encouraged to dress up as their favorite “book character” along with bringing to school the book that goes along with their costume. All classes will showcase their costumes in a drive by parade from 11:00 a.m.to 11:15 a.m.. Parents, grandparents, friends and family are encouraged to drive through the CCS parking lot, where they can “view” all CCS classes dressed as their favorite book character. We do ask that no witches, vampires, monsters, and horror apparel are brought to/worn to school on this day.
Along with Character Parade on Thursday, October 29th, we will also be having a CCS SPIRIT WEAR SALE! The new 2020-2021 CCS Spirit Wear will be available to view/purchase beginning on this day!
