Character Parade and Bake Sale
Just a friendly reminder, the CCS Character Parade will take place this Thursday, October 24th! Each CCS student is encouraged to dress up as their favorite “book character” along with bringing to school the book that goes along with their literary character. All classes will showcase their costumes in the Multipurpose room beginning with K3 at 9:30 a.m.. If you are still in need of a “character idea” or a book to go along with your character, please see Mrs. Hinojos for ideas and assistance. We do ask that no witches, vampires, monsters, and horror apparel are brought to school on this day.
Along with Character Parade on Thursday, we will also be having the CCS BAKE SALE! The Bake Sale will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the main foyer. If you are wanting to donate items for the Bake Sale, please see the sign- up sheet located on the PTF bulletin board. All donated items need to be brought to the school at the following times:
- Canned items due by October 21st
- Fresh baked goods due by October 23rd
- Day-of fresh items due by 8:00 a.m. October 24th
For more information and/or if you would like to volunteer to help with this event, please call the school office at 208-324-3444.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent teacher conferences are scheduled for October 28th – 31st. We will have full days of school on these four days and conferences will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. There will be no school on Friday, November 1st (EXCEL will be available). If the day or time of your conference does not work for you, please let your child’s teacher know right away so we can find a time to reschedule. Conferences are a valuable time for teachers to communicate with you about your child’s progress and we ask that you do not bring siblings to the conference. We appreciate your support and understanding. J
We are still accepting JOG-A-THON forms! Even though this amazing event took place on October 3rd, CCS will accept all JOG-A-THON donations throughout the 2019 – 2020 school year. As of October 15, CCS has received $20,554.00 in donations! Thank you, thank you for your continued support and LOVE for Canyonside.
Festival of Giving
It’s almost that time of year again, where Canyonside Christian School participates in the Festival of Giving! Holly Senivongs along with Cameron Guillory, will be putting together an AMAZING Christmas tree that will be auctioned off at this event. If you would like to help donate items/decorations for this AMAZING tree, please check out the photos of items needed on the bulletin board in the main hallway. Monetary donations are also being accepted.
PTF Craft Night
PTF will be hosting a Craft Night on Monday, November 25th at RENEW Coffee Shop in Jerome. The times will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and each person attending will be making a beautiful Harvest Centerpiece for Thanksgiving!
