We would like to invite our families and any friends, relatives, etc to our Character Parade to be held on Thursday, October 24th. The Character Parade is an opportunity for students to dress up as a literary character and answer questions about a book they have read. Each child is encouraged to come “in character” on this day. He/she will also need to bring a copy of the book from which their character is in. All classes will showcase in the multipurpose room beginning with K-3 at 9:30 a.m.. If you have questions about this event, please be sure and ask your child’s teacher or stop by the office. If you need character ideas, Mrs. Hinojos would be happy to help with ideas and/or a book that will go with your student’s book character. We encourage all students and staff to dress up on this fun day, but ask that no witches, monsters, vampires, and dangerous props are brought to school.
Along with Character Parade on Thursday, October 24th, we will also be having the CCS BAKE SALE! The Bake Sale will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the main foyer. If you are wanting to donate items for the Bake Sale, please see the sign- up sheet located on the PTF bulletin board. We will accept all kinds of yummy and delicious items! The EXCEL program will be available on this day for students who are needing care. Please see the sign- up sheet located outside of the Multi Purpose Room door. Your student’s teacher will be sending home letters this week with the date and time of your child/children’s conference. If the day or time does not work for you, please let your student’s teacher know ASAP so a new time and/or date can be scheduled. Conferences are a valuable time for teachers to communicate with you about your child’s progress. We do ask however, that siblings are not brought to the conference and appreciate your understanding and support in this request.
