During the month of February, Mrs. Deanna’s K4 class will be talking to us about The Sword of the Spirit, in our Armor of God Bible series! Did you know the “Sword of the Spirit” is actually the Word of God?! The Bible also refers to the “sword” as the living and powerful word of God that is sharper than any two-edged sword! The new Bible verse for this month is; Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit…” Pastor Will Ritter will be with next Monday in Chapel.

There is sure to be something for everyone and every budget! Doors open at 5:30, dinner at 6:30, auction to follow. Tickets this year are; $20 for an individual, $35 for a couple, or you can purchase a table of 8 for $150. Tickets for the Dyson Hairdryer and Jetson Hoverboard are 1 for $10 or 12 for $100. All dinner and gun raffle tickets are available for purchase in the office, and CCS student’s will be bringing raffle tickets home today (for the Hairdryer and Hoverboard) to sell to family and friends! Their will also be doorprizes given away at the auction for dinner tickets sold!
We would love your help….
The theme for this year’s auction is the Roaring 20’s, and the auction decorating committee will be featuring different history facts about the 20’s at each dinner table! We need your help coming up with a small centerpiece, that will accent your history lesson. Shay Vanderham has already graciously typed out 40 “history ideas” from the 1920’s for you to use! The idea is to place your “history lesson” in a picture frame with your centerpiece idea. The color scheme is black, white, and gold and we have a fantastic example on display in the main foyer for you to look at. Please contact Shay,
Kathy, Joanna or Kim with any questions you may have. We can’t wait to see what AMAZING IDEAS you come up with!
