“Spirit Hat Day” this Thursday

On Thursday of this week, we will be having a special “Spirit Hat Day” for Maddie Baker!  Maddie, who is one of our fantastic 5th graders, will be attending the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. this summer. All proceeds collected from “Hat Day” this year will be given to the Baker family to help cover the cost of attending the conference. So, bring a $1.00 and wear your favorite hat for Maddie!

CCS Roaring 20’s Auction & Dinner

We are less than two weeks away, until the biggest night of the year for Canyonside Christian School!  This year’s auction will take place on Friday, March 6th at the Jerome County Fair Grounds.  Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.!

We will be featuring a new game at the Auction this year called “Heads or Tails”!  The winner will receive up to one year of tuition FREE!!  Yes, you heard right, up to one year of tuition FREE! The “buy in” for this game will be $100.00, and there is no limit on “buy in’s”.  This is just ONE OF THE AMAZING PRIZES you may win at this year’s BIG event!

You still have time to bring in a basket, for the silent auction, or contribute to one of the baskets that have been started. If you plan on bringing something in, please let the office know so that we can make sure you, or your business, gets recognized. Again, we thank you for your support!

We still have raffle tickets and dinner tickets available for purchase in the office. The cost of tickets for the “Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer” and “JetsonX10 Hoverboard” is 1 for $10.00 or 12 for $100.00. The cost of tickets for the “Franchi Affinity 20 Gauge shot gun” is 1 for $25.00 or 5 $100.00. Get your tickets today!  All raffle tickets need to be turned into the school office NO LATER THAN Thursday, March 5thtDinner tickets can be purchased in the office or at the door, the night of the auction.  Dinner tickets are; $20 for individual, $35 for a couple, or a table of 8 for $150.                   THIS WEEK’S FEATURED AUC

Auction Night Childcare

Do you need childcare for your children, so you can attend the auction? You’re in luck! We will offer childcare for children 3 years thru 5th grade in the multipurpose room at CCS. We will be providing pizza and drinks for dinner and the rest of the evening will consist of games, activities and a movie!  Parents are required to sign children up for this event, and sign up and will be offered by donation. sheets are located beside the Multipurpose Room. Childcare will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Green Eggs, Pancakes and Ham Lunch

Dr. Seuss Week is March 9th – 13th! We will have a school wide green eggs, pancake and ham lunch on Thursday, March 12th.  A sign-up sheet for items needed is will be located in the main hallway the first week in March.  It will also be a “SCHOOL WIDE PAJAMA DAY” and an “ALL SCHOOL READ OUT” on Thursday.

March 16 – 19:  Parent Teacher Conferences

March 20:  NO SCHOOL (Excel available) 

March 23 – 27:  Spring Break

March 30:  School resumes
