Mrs. Krista Mullenix
My name Krista Mullenix and I am the K4 teacher. I spent 7 years as a student at CCS from K5 – 6th Grade. This is my 6th year as a teacher at CCS. I spent my first 4 years as the K2 teacher, my fifth year as the K3 teacher and this is my first year as the K4 teacher. I believe that K4 is all about having as much fun as possible, while still learning. I have created a fun and loving classroom for my students to learn through play and lots of Disney!
I know that each child is created by God in their own unique way and I strive to teach my students in a way that best suits them. I make positive encouragement a huge part of our classroom and I want all my students to know that they can do anything they set their minds to. I also want each student to know how loved they are by not only me, but by our Heavenly Father. I am so blessed to be able to share Gods love with each child and watch their love for our God grow every day.
In 2013 I lost my grandpa to Parkinson’s Disease. He was a very special person in my life that was taken from this world way to soon. It was a very difficult time for me, and I tried with all my heart to understand why he was taken from us so soon. Even after a couple of years it was still hard for me to process, some days I felt like I understood and others I would break down and cry. One day I had an opportunity to interview for the K2 position here at CCS, and just like that everything changed. I realized I won’t always understand why everything happens, but I do know that it’s all in God’s plan and I need to put my full trust in Him. I have been shown so much love and support after being at CCS. I have made so many friends that have turned into family and I realized that is was 100% God’s plan for me to be back at Canyonside. And now I know the meaning of having sisters in Christ, and for that I will be forever grateful.
I got married in September of 2019 and it has been so much to start this new journey in my life. I can’t wait to see where this wonderful world takes me.
