CCS Newsletter January 28th – February 1st

We had a terrific Chapel this morning, led by Mrs. DeMello’s K4 class! “You Are Special” is the theme for January, and each K4 student shared a specific word or short phrase that describes how special they each are in the sight of the Lord! The words that were shared this morning are; chosen, beloved, a treasure, saved, precious, a child of God, set free, forgiven, masterpiece, set apart, and redeemed! Mrs. DeMello also read this verse; Psalm 139:14 “I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.” Next month, Mrs. Martens 2nd Grade class will be leading us in Chapel.

PTF Valentine Grams

Don’t forget to order a special Valentine for your CCS student! You can purchase a Valentine Gram for $5.00 from PTF. This year’s Valentine Gram will include an adorable box filled with candy, a small stuffed animal, and a Valentine pinwheel. All Valentine Grams will be delivered to students on February 14th. Extra order forms are available in the school office and need to be returned with payment by February 7th.
CCS Auction: Boots and Bling
This year’s CCS auction is right around the corner, and the action committee has been busy planning all the details that go along with this amazing night! This year’s auction will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, at the Jerome Fair Grounds. As in years past, this auction will include both live and silent bidding, terrific raffles throughout the evening, and a delicious dinner before the live auction begins! This is the biggest fundraiser of the year and we promise this event will have something for everyone! More information on tickets and ticket pricing will be available next week!

Auction Basket Sign up and Class Items

Check out the sign-up sheet for auction baskets on the bulletin board in the main school hallway! There are several great basket ideas to choose from or you can donate one of your own choice! Each CCS classroom is also hoping to receive a $20.00 donation OR supply item from each student’s family that will go towards their classroom auction item. Please see your student’s teacher for more details!
